Birling the Archives Block Party 2026 - Recap

Our concept for the 2nd “Archives Block Party” started to form right after the first one, last year. A lot of our ideas felt like we were “shooting for stars” but we pitched them anyways, and it all came together even better than we had envisioned. What an amazing weekend! Julian’s “Art Experience” on Friday was phenomenal and a great way to kick things off. Shout out to all the skaters for braving the heat and skating the ramp upstairs. Saturday brought us the main event and it did not disappoint! It was the product of a lot of team work with many partners working hard to make it extra special.

Properly celebrating Wade and Spencer in their hometown was so sick. Ottawa (and then some!) showed their appreciation for what these two legends have contributed to our local, national, and international skate scenes. That might have been our favourite part! The special “dual pro deck” from Primitive was the cherry on the cake and a perfect souvenir/trophy to remember what went down in Ottawa on July 11, 2026. Thanks for coming out and helping to make “Archives” come alive in a way that it has never, ever been before. We’ll never forget it!
