RDS Granite Skate Bench - Now Skateable at "Archives"

Back in August of 2022, RDS generously donated one of their amazing granite benches to the Ottawa skateboard community. It was installed at Lansdowne and was put to good use for 2 years. Earlier this year, we worked out an opportunity with the National Capital Commission to move the bench to Ottawa’s “Garden of the Provinces and Territories” or “Archives” as it is known to skaters. It’s an exciting precedent for Ottawa regarding the incorporation of skateboarding into urban design! Shout outs to the NCC for this progressive stance. The RDS bench has been installed at Archives for skaters to enjoy in between the two 8 stair sets. A major thank you goes out to the Ottawa Skateboarding Association for paying for the moving costs!
