Commitment to building our local skateboard community and helping those in need are fundamental pillars to our business model. At Birling, ensuring the preservation of skateboarding and building friendships isn’t what we do outside of shop hours, it is the reason we are in business.
Several years ago we co-founded the Ottawa Skateboard Assocation
(OSA) to make a difference in our city. The OSA is a non-profit organization founded to promote the construction of well-designed skateboard parks
and provide skateboarding opportunities
to those in need.
Members of our team at Birling sit on the board of directors, help volunteer and work hand in hand with the OSA to make our city a better place.
For almost eight years, Birling has supported these grassroots activists who do what they can to ensure the proper construction of skateparks while also helping those in need. It can be hard to know how to get involved, that is why we work to connect individuals to the causes we support.
We donate 5% of our profits to support the Ottawa Skateboard Assocation and the work that it does. This organization is entirely volunteer driven and relies on generous donations from our community to continue its wonderful work.
